Pushing Daisies in a Parallel Universe
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008I’ve read about this in a spoiler section somewhere else. In one of Pushing Daisies new episodes, we’re going to come across three people who appear the same as our favorite trio.
EW has the scoop.
- Pushing Daisies is about to get seriously bizarro. Orlando Jones (Drumline), Michael Weaver (Notes From the Underbelly), and Ivana Milocevic (Casino Royale) have been cast as a band of Norwegian detectives who bear striking similarities to Emerson, Ned and Chuck, sources confirm to me exclusively. The trio flee their home country looking for bigger, better crimes to solve, which makes things mighty difficult for Emerson and his untouchy-feely sidekicks. Rumor has it the script for the episode, titled “The Norwegians” and slated to air in November, is nothing short of Snapplarious (i.e., so laugh-out-loud hysterical Snapple will likely shoot out your nose). If it’s half as funny as this Wednesday’s second season premiere — particularly a certain subplot involving reluctant nun Kristin Chenoweth and Mother Superior Diana Scarwid — then we are in for a treat.
Photos from Season 2 Episode 3 Bad Habits
Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008These are photos from the third episode, Bad Habits:
- “Bad Habits”- Chuck, Emerson and Ned go undercover as a Catholic nun and priests and pass themselves off as investigators from the Vatican to help Olive prove that her best pal at the nunnery (Mo Collins as Sister Larue) didn’t kill herself, but was actually murdered, on “Pushing Daisies”.
Stephen Root to Guest Star on Pushing Daisies Season 2
Monday, August 4th, 2008
As reported on EW, Stephen Root, is joining Pushing Daisies Season 2 as guest star, playing the role of someone who, as Bryan Fuller stated, “has a shared history with both Ned’s dad and Chuck’s dad” and will most likely “stir up a lot of hullabaloo for everyone, particularly Aunts Lily and Vivian.”
Stephen Root is more familiar to TV fans of NewsRadio, a series that aired for four seasons in the mid-90’s. He is also a voice talent on the cartoon series, King of The Hill and American Dad.
A talented actor like him is a perfect fit for a show like Pushing Daisies as I do remember how much of a presence he is on Seinfeld and Frasier. He is perhaps one of those underrated character actors in the biz.
He will appear in a four episode story arc and it sounds like his character is bad news. Is he Chuck’s real father?
A Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies Character Crossover!
Monday, July 28th, 2008A character from Bryan Fuller’s defunct TV series, Wonderfalls, may be appearing and crossing over to the second season of Pushing Daisies.
This information was revealed at the Comic Con last Saturday. And that character none other than Mary Ann Marie Beetle, who appeared in the Muffin Buffalo episode of Wonderfalls.
She is played by Beth Grant.
Fuller also says he’d like for Jaye Tyler (Caroline Dhavernas) the lead of Wonderfalls to drop by the “sunny Daisies world” as well. Diane Scarwid who played Mother to Lee Pace in this series, is already a confirmed guest on Pushing Daisies.
Watch Mary Ann Marie Beetle on Wonderfalls:
Debra Mooney to Guest Star on Pushing Daisies Season 2
Friday, July 25th, 2008Mo Collins to Guest Star on Pushing Daisies’ first episode back for Season 2
Friday, July 25th, 2008And this information comes from Lee Pace himself, when he and the other cast Pushing Daisies spoke about the show’s return on Sci Fi Wire. Mo Collins! Ahhhh! How I enjoy watching her on MadTV before!
Spoiler ahead after the cut people!
Autumn Reeser to Guest Star on Pushing Daisies and an Emerson Cod tidbit
Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008
Here’s a fresh scoop from Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello!
“The O.C.’s Taylor Townsend herself, Autumn Reeser, will guest star in the season premiere as a Southern Belle named Kentucky Fritz who has a deadly run-in with some killer bees. “She’s the number one girl at Betty’s Bees, who may or may not have been up to some mischief when she was stung to death by a swarm of bees,” teases Daisies creator Bryan Fuller. The gig reunites Reeser with actress Missi Pyle (aka Betty Bee); the two appeared in an episode of Fox’s short-lived Wedding Bells that, unfortunately, no one ever saw. “I walked down the aisle to ‘Maria’ from Sound of Music,” Reeser recalls. “But the show was canceled before it aired.” Ironically, sounds like an episode I would’ve actually watched.”
Ausiello also adds — “Daisies is casting the role of Emerson’s no-nonsense, chain-smoking and, get this, Caucasian mom.”
Pushing Daisies Spoiler Season 2 Episode 5
Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008Didn’t read through this new spoiler properly as I’d still want to remain spoiler-free. I just grabbed this off PushingDaisies-TV which has been very vigilant and generous with spoilers.
It all comes after the cut…
David Arquette to guest on Pushing Daisies
Monday, July 21st, 2008Scheduled to appear in the fourth episode of Pushing Daisies’ second season is David Arquette, who was last seen on ABC’s In Case of Emergency, which the network canceled after 12 airings. David will play the character, Randy Mann, described as “socially awkward” but possesses a very special talent which forges a bond between him and the pie-maker.

Is everyone panic-stricken about another TV strike?
Monday, July 7th, 2008Not likely so, based on this photo and article from Variety. Because it seems the shows are going on.
This is of course, Kristin Chenoweth, doing her scenes as Olive Snook for Pushing Daisies Season 2. It looks to me like she’s doing some theatrics, some singing. Oh, and I can’t help but notice — her hair is longer now?
Anyway, according to reports, the show has been "in production for weeks" and the cast of Pushing Daisies are scheduled to film their scenes throughout July.
Any threats of an upcoming strike by the actors is unlikely, according to a high profile sitcom showrunner — "The threat of a thesp work stoppage "is not even in my thought process right now at all. There’s just a general feeling that it’s not going to happen."
So… there’s no reason to panic for now. TV is moving along well for the new season.
Incidentally, there are more spoilers after the cut…
Pushing Daisies Season 2 Bzzzzz! Spoiler
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008Many thanks to Pushing-Daisies.Com for this spoiler. I didn’t read this, though. And that’s really hard to do! But I did not want to get myself too “spoiled” so I’m skipping the text. I’m only seeing words without making sense of ‘em…
This is supposedly a synopsis for the first episode of the second season.
To the curios, the spoiler is right after the jump!
Pushing Daisies Season 2 Spoiler - Guest Cast
Monday, June 23rd, 2008The producers have apparently cast Diane Scarwid for Pushing Daisies Season 2. She is reportedly going to play the role of Mother Superior in the nunnery Olive will hide off to.
Scarwid was in the cast of Bryan Fuller’s earlier project, Wonderfalls. She played Lee Pace’s mother there.

Pushing Daisies Season 2 Spoilers for Episode 3
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008
Details to the second season are slowly unveiling and I found this from a fan site similar to ours. Pushing Daisies Season 2 Episode 3 is still about Olive’s background mostly. The details are after the jump (for the benefit of those who would want to remain unspoiled) and it involves a lot more than secret agents!
About Pushing Daisies
As its teasers say, Pushing Daisies is "nothing like you've seen on television". Besides being visually stimulating and audibly captivating, the story behind this whimsical TV series from ABC, is one that seems to jump out pages of a fairy tale. Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
