Happy New Year!

Despite what seems like a bleak future for television this year since the strike isn’t resolved still, I’m still very excited about what TV will bring for 2008. And I am particularly excited for Pushing Daisies because finally, finally, viewers from where I come from will be able to catch it on cable TV. Those in the Philippines, expect this show to appear on a Solar Channel very soon. The teasers have been running and while there isn’t any particular date yet, it’s enough to make me giddy — more people will be able to see the show, yay!
Anyway, what else have we got to look forward to, knowing there aren’t any new episodes from the series in a long while? The writers strike is deemed to last and affect even the following season. I wonder what that would mean for a freshman show like Pushing Daisies. Would we have to wait till 2009 for some answers?
We have the Golden Globes awards night to watch for, at least, where Pushing Daisies is nominated for three awards. But Will Bryan Fuller and the rest of the cast grace the show, without compromising their stand vis-a-vis the strike?
All I’ve got are questions. And right now, my anticipation isn’t dampened. This year should be a good year. And I’m looking forward to it! Happy 2008! I hope everyone reading this would have a fruitful one ahead.
I’ll come back in the following days to start rolling up some news and updates on Pushing Daisies.
