Is everyone panic-stricken about another TV strike?

by LiRa

Not likely so, based on this photo and article from Variety. Because it seems the shows are going on.

townpushingdaisiesnh8 This is of course, Kristin Chenoweth, doing her scenes as Olive Snook for Pushing Daisies Season 2. It looks to me  like she’s doing some theatrics, some singing. Oh, and I can’t help but notice — her hair is longer now?

Anyway, according to reports, the show has been "in production for weeks" and the cast of Pushing Daisies are scheduled to film their scenes throughout July.

Any threats of an upcoming strike by the actors is unlikely, according to a high profile sitcom showrunner — "The threat of a thesp work stoppage "is not even in my thought process right now at all. There’s just a general feeling that it’s not going to happen."

So… there’s no reason to panic for now. TV is moving along well for the new season.

Incidentally, there are more spoilers after the cut…

From SpoilerTV. This is a casting call list,  which should give you an idea of what subsequent Pushing Daisies episodes will be about…

About Pushing Daisies

As its teasers say, Pushing Daisies is "nothing like you've seen on television". Besides being visually stimulating and audibly captivating, the story behind this whimsical TV series from ABC, is one that seems to jump out pages of a fairy tale. Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
