About Lira

Whenever she’s asked to describe herself, Lira usually sums up who she is in two categories: 1) a wife and mother and 2) a Television junkie.

For the most part, Lira considers motherhood as her ultimate career. She is a devoted mother to one boy, who is fast growing under the influence of his mom’s passion for television.

When she isn’t doing her wifely and motherly duties, Lira is found but where else? —Sitting in front of the television, watching TV as much as she can.

Too much TV watching is actually good for her, never mind what experts say. The TV allows her to bond with her child and husband whenever they watch their favorite shows together. Lira admits that some of the lessons she has picked up about life, she learned from TV. And if there’s one other joy she gets from TV watching, it is in the fact that with television, she can be so much more than just a plain old housewife. She can be a superhero, a goofy character, a TV doctor, a secret agent, a career woman, an alien….anything and everything she wants to be.

With so many genres, concepts and characters in TV today, like most junkies, she welcomes most anything TV has to offer.

About Pushing Daisies

As its teasers say, Pushing Daisies is "nothing like you've seen on television". Besides being visually stimulating and audibly captivating, the story behind this whimsical TV series from ABC, is one that seems to jump out pages of a fairy tale. Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
