Pushing Daisies Bad Habits Ratings
Pushing Daisies gained some 500,000 viewers last night but didn’t have enough numbers in its key demographic. This site is giving it an orange status for the season, meaning, it is in danger of cancellation. Scrubs, the TV series from NBC which has moved its final season to ABC, is scheduled to air next year but there are unconfirmed reports it’s going earlier, and possibly taking one of the low performing time slots on the Alphabet channel.
What does this mean for Pushing Daisies? Is Scrubs taking over?

Nah, I can’t see them putting Scrubs directly against CBS’s comedies. They’ll probably pair it with Samantha Who? on Mondays when DWTS goes down to an hour. Or they’ll place it with something else in the Tuesday at 8:00 block, which has been a traditional sitcom spot for ABC.

ABC will be more willing to let “Opportunity Knocks” go than they will PD. I think “Opportunity Knocks” is meant to be a limited-run series anyway. I really think that the alphabet has Scrubs pencilled in for Tuesdays at 8:00 or 8:30, a night where it often aired on NBC. As much as NBC booted it around, it never aired on Wednesday. I think ABC will put it on a night where it has aired before. The prime spot for that is Tuesdays at 8:00. Now that I think about it, I think that DWTS performance shows remain 90 minutes until the end of the season. Scrubs is going to air on Tuesdays.
ABC still has to wait for the live +7 DVR viewing. I think they’re going to go through with the experiment of not participating in the Obama-fest on the 29th and airing PD against it. I also think that Best Directing Emmy may be the godsend that saves the show. Are any Sonnenfeld-directed episodes scheduled coming up?
