Pushing Daisies: Chenoweth on Candide

Kristin Chenoweth, before we’ve all come to love her on television as Olive Snook, is first and foremost a theater superstar. And this summer, Chenoweth will be found in London, starring in a 23-performance production of Candide, with the English National Opera. The show will run beginning June 13.
Chenoweth, a Tony awardee, and who has previously starred in the same production with the New York Philharmonic, will be joined by theater actor Toby Spence.
Candide is a story based on a novella written by Voltaire and adapted by Hugh Wheeler. Music and lyrics are provided by Leonard Bernstein, Richard Wilbur, Stephen Sondheim, John Latouche, Lillian Hellman, Dorothy Parker. Choreography is courtesy of Rob Ashford.
Candide was previously running at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris as well as La Scala in Milan, Italy.
