Here’s something to read while waiting for the premiere episode tonight — the Pushing Daisies Comic Book!

The images are quite graphic and gritty. In fact, it’s the exact opposite of how the series is on television, except that the Ned is still as funny.

SPOILER ALERT: In the succeeding pages, there’s a back story to the monkey figurines, which is an integral part to why Chuck had to die. The comic book is available online via ABC.

By the way, Pushing Daisies premiered in Canada last night and it looks like it was very well received.

Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
