Pushing Daisies Guest Wish List: David Thewlis

by

david_thewlis_0.jpg I thought it might be fun to come up with a wish list for possible guest appearances on Pushing Daisies and my first choice would have to be British Actor David Thewlis.

Most people would probably recognize him as Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter movies or as the wicked king in Dragonheart. He is also the author of the novel, The Late Hector Kipling. On a more personal level, and the reason why I would like to see him appear on Pushing Daisies (aside from his acting chops, of course) — Thewlis is also the father of Anna Friel’s daughter, and her current partner.

Thewlis is an effective antagonist. And in contrast to the Ned character — oh, he would surely be a person Ned can become intimidated with.

By the way, here’s an interview with Anna Friel who talks about her domestic life with David Thewlis.

About Pushing Daisies

As its teasers say, Pushing Daisies is "nothing like you've seen on television". Besides being visually stimulating and audibly captivating, the story behind this whimsical TV series from ABC, is one that seems to jump out pages of a fairy tale. Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
