Modern life can be pretty rubbish, so who can blame us for wanting to occasionally indulge in a little whimsy and fantasy? Enter the modern day fairytale that is Pushing Daisies; a charming drama that mixes romance, tragedy, magic and murder with a kooky Tim Burtonesque delivery.

The facts of the case are these…” so says our narrator, veteran comedy actor Jim Dale, in episode one of this fairytale love story.
Little Ned is a young boy with a very special gift. He can bring people back to life with just one touch. It’s a skill he learns when his beloved pooch Digby gets hit by a truck. Just after impact the lovely retriever is up and about again.

But the story gets complicated when he discovers his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, has been murdered. Ned has been working for a private investigator who wants Chuck brought back to life for just enough time to reveal the identity of the killer. Then he wants Ned to touch her a second time, thereby consigning her to a second and permanent death. But can he do it?

Pushing Daisies stars British actress Anna Friel and Golden Globe nominee Lee Pace.

ITV.com will be streaming a sneak peek clip of Pushing Daisies on Monday 7th, for an entire week before it airs on ITV. Visit www.itv.com/pushingdaisies to get your first taste of the show.

This is a press release from ITV.

About Pushing Daisies

As its teasers say, Pushing Daisies is "nothing like you've seen on television". Besides being visually stimulating and audibly captivating, the story behind this whimsical TV series from ABC, is one that seems to jump out pages of a fairy tale. Created by Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies is hailed by critics as a commendable risk that may actually pay off. It has romance, tragedy, comedy, mystery and of course, lest we forget, pies…lots and lots of it.
