Pushing Daisies Round-Up Oct 1
Just rounding up some scoops from the press on Pushing Daisies and below are some of it:

- Reuters calls Pushing Daisies a “deathly delight” or a mixture of life, romance, optimism and youthful exuberance. Although it hints that the creators must strive to make the series restrictive and narrow, to avoid creating “one-note” characters.
- A Canadian press thinks Pushing Daisies is a bright light in the Fall TV Season that brings color to an otherwise seemingly dull 2007 TV season.
- Scrippnews believes that Pushing Daisies is an unusual story but also wonders if the show will be able to keep an audience.
- And it’s the same for entertainment news source Variety which thinks that Pushing Daisies may rely on a cultish audience, but at the same time hopes the series can sustain possible cancelation.
- The Denver Post lists Pushing Daisies as one of the five shows to watch this season
- Adam Brody (of The OC) was originally offered the part of Ned, according this Playbill interview with Bryan Fuller. And it was Brody’s manager who suggested Lee Pace.
- Speaking of Lee Pace, Chicago Sun-Times names him one of the ten scene stealers of this year’s Fall Season and describes Pace’s take on the character of Ned as “quirky, detective-ish role a Clive Owen quality, though dorkier and more mischievous.”
- And rounding up the news, don’t forget the schedules of TV appearances of the cast and director on several talk shows this week.
The show is about to kick off in a couple days. We’re gonna get busy, Wednesday nights! A full recap will be provided on this site the day after the episode airs.
